LOOKING AHEAD TO 2027

Following the success of our first Rhythms in the Sun event in August 2026, we’re excited to begin planning our next community celebration.

Our first event was designed to welcome everyone — young people, adults, older people, families and people with disabilities. The venue provided wheelchair access and accessible toilet facilities, helping us create an inclusive and welcoming environment for our community.

There was something for different ages and interests, including Fairground rides, Bouncy castles, Food and Refreshments, Dominoes, Sip & Paint and Family activities.

Music was also an important part of the day with a mixture of R&B, Reggae, Soca and clean Dancehall, creating an atmosphere that different generations could enjoy together.

For 2027, we want to build on what we achieved, introduce even more activities and, where possible, secure a larger space so that we can welcome even more people.

We look forward to seeing familiar faces again and welcoming many new ones as the 1962 Caribbean Events family continues to grow.
